The PV-SuCCESS project is led by the Great Plains Institute in partnership with the University of Minnesota, the Midwest Tribal Energy Resources Association, the Minnesota Clean Energy Resources Team, Argonne National Laboratory, and the Minnesota Department of Commerce.

Technical Committee 

A Technical Committee provides technical and applied guidance for the project on the field-testing approach, model development, and resulting best practices, and education and outreach efforts.   

Members of the PV-SuCCESS Technical Committee represent state government, host communities, energy transition communities, Tribal nations, natural resource and agricultural organizations, ecosystem service/land use experts from universities, non-governmental organizations and state agencies, solar/energy companies, solar developers, and corporate off-takers.

The Technical Committee meets quarterly to hear updates on the project and give feedback to the project team. 

Use Case Committees 

Three additional committees have been convened to provide guidance from the unique perspectives of each of the identified use cases: 

  • Tribal Nations, convened by MTERA, representing 31 tribes from across Minnesota, Wisconsin, and Michigan. 
  • Host Community, convened by GPI, includes community representatives from Minnesota, Iowa, and Illinois. We are continuing to recruit members to this committee. 
  • State Agency, convened by the Minnesota Department of Commerce, includes representatives of state agencies in Minnesota, Wisconsin, and Illinois.
